Donna Brotherton

Donna grew up in Fairfax, Virginia.  She began singing and playing for her church at an early age, and knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life serving in a musical capacity.  Donna attended The Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD, The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, OH, and Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, VA.  Donna has a bachelors degree in vocal performance, and a masters degree in music education/choral conducting.

Donna has taught music at all levels, both privately and in school settings.  She has taught private voice and traditional piano lessons, Suzuki piano lessons, Kindermusik classes (at home and at JPC and First Lutheran), and University level piano and voice classes in Anchorage, Alaska.  In 2005 Donna became the choral director at Weaver Academy for the Performing Arts in Greensboro.

Donna is a very proud mom to Kayla, Matthew, Michael and Nicholas Brotherton, who are all members at JPC.
